Native to Central and Southern Mexico and Guatemala, this ancient seed traces back to 3500 B.C where the Aztecs used it as both a raw material and to produce medicines. Used for both their nutritive and therapeutic properties, the Aztecs ate Chia Seeds during times of war to help sustain them both physically and mentally. The Chia Seed Oil is a vegetable oil obtained from Salvia hispanica seeds; it smells sweetly and contains high-level concentration of alpha-linoleic acid or omega 3 (ῳ-3).
It’s cold pressed and preserved carefully to maintain the natural characteristics and toxicological oil safety. High in Omega 3, this seed oil has a beneficial effect when taken internally under the guidance of a health professional.
